How are Shady Characters products anchored?
All Shady Characters Products can be anchored in a number of ways. The most common methods are:
1. Tru-Bolted/Dyna-Bolted down to a concrete slab
2. Using Ground Pegs - available for purchase when ordering your kit
3. Concrete Pier Kit/Concrete Footings - available for purchase when ordering your kit

Do Shady Characters Products Require Council Approval?
Although nearly all councils have a different set of rules regarding construction, usually any structure with a roofing area greater than 10 square meters requires Council Approval. All Shady Characters are supplied with the appropriate Engineers Certificate and Drawings. For more information on this, please contact our office or call your local Council.
What Warranty Comes With Shady Characters Products?

~ Colorbond® Roofing has a 10 Warranty
~ Com 95 Shade cloth has a 10 Year UV Warranty
~ Canvacon has a 3 Year UV Warranty
What is the Difference Between DuraGal & SupaGal?
DuraGal steel is galvanised on the outside and painted on the inside. SupaGal is fully galvanised, both inside and out. This offers a much longer lifespan of any other steel, and prevents rusting. All Shady Characters products use a 2mm thick SupaGal Steel frame.
Can Gutters Be Attached to Shady Sheds?
Yes! Every Shady Shed is designed with a 75mm overhanging roof at either end of the structure. Therefore, any standard guttering kit will attached to either end of the Shady Shed easily. The profile of the tin runs the length of the Shady Shed, so rain will run to the front or back of the Shady Shed (depending on which way you choose).
Are Hot-Dipped Galvanised Frames Available?
Yes! We can organise Hot-Dipped Galvanising of the basebars, corners and noses for your kit. Hot-Dipped Galvanising is suitable for High Corrosive areas. If you're not sure, contact our office for more information.

Can I Enclose My Shady Shed?
Shady Sheds are Engineered as an Open Structure. Extra sheeting is available for more protection. For customised jobs, please contact our office.
Where Do You Deliver?
We deliver Australia-Wide and Overseas. All products can be flat packed for transport purposes, and come with easy to follow Assembly Instructions.
What are your payment terms and how can I pay for my Shady Characters product?
Payment terms are 50% deposit upon acceptance of quote and the balance is payable upon delivery. We accept cash, cheques, EFTPOS, credit cards* and direct deposit. (*surcharge applies).
How Do I Get a Quote?
Go to the "Quote Pages" on the menu bar to obtain a quote for any Shady Characters product. Once the online quote is submitted, you will receive an answer within 24hrs. Alternatively, contact us via phone.
Where Can I See Shady Characters Products?
You can view our products through our online Photo Gallery or see display sheds which are dotted all over Australia on main Highways. Alternatively, call your local dealer to see where which demo shed is closest to you.
What Makes Shady Sheds Stronger?
All Shady Sheds have a 2mm Wall Thickness, which in "steel-talk" equates to being 30% stronger than similar products on the market. All Shady Characters corners and noses are welded together for extra strength and durability. Steel can loose its structural strength when it is rolled or deformed.
Will Shady Characters Do My Concrete Slab?
Unfortunately we don't do concreting. However, we know people who do! Just ask when you contact us. We also have a team of qualified installers who can erect your product for you.
Where Did the Swaging Method Come From?
The "Swaged Joint Slip Fit" connection method was originally designed and patented in the United States.
