Independent testing conducted by AlfaTest Pty Ltd proves that Shady Characters unique welded corners provide a structurally stronger frame than similar products on the market. This test proves that Shady Characters welded corners can withstand 1.2 tonne more per corner in load before the component starts to deform and fail. For a full copy of the test results, click here.

Anchoring Options for Shady Characters Products
All Shady Characters products are Engineered to meet Australian Wind Rating Standards. To keep the products certified, they need to be anchored down correctly. Below are a range of options which we can supply with your order.
Ground Pegs
Our galvanised Ground Pegs will anchor any Shady Characters product down into good co-hesive soil and maintain a Wind Rating of up to N3/W41 - the standard Wind Rating for most areas in Australia.
Concrete Piers / Footings
 Pier Kits anchor the baserail or footplate securely and are suitable for winds up to Category 2 Cyclonic weather. They are suitable to use on all Shady Characters products, and we can supply an anchoring guide which has dimensions for the required hole sizes.
Saddle Brackets
 One of the most widely used methods for installing our Shady Sheds. Each kit is supplied with a set of saddle brackets, so all you need is a set of dyna-bolts or tru-bolts to hold it down to a slab. This method of anchoring will maintain your N3/W41 Wind Rating and will also hold it down in Category 2 Cyclonic weather.
